Creating a Towing Worksheet

You can enter up to 3 different tow occurrences for each estimate and keep track of the total towing and storage charges. The Towing Worksheet feature is disabled if the estimate is locked, in an Unrelated Prior Damage or Related Prior Damage estimate. This link can also be disabled if the Allow Addition of Towing Charges in the Estimating Rules screen is not checked.

To create a towing worksheet

  1. Open the workfile.
  2. Select the Estimate tab, and then select the Other Charges tab.
  3. Click on the Towing Worksheet link. The Towing Worksheet screen opens.
  4. Select the Tow 1, Tow 2, or Tow 3 tab.
  5. Enter the tow date in the Tow Date field.
  6. Enter the tow provider name or select one from the Name droplist.

Note: If you select a tow provider from the Name droplist, the address and phone information will automatically appear in the Tow Provider Information fields.

  1. Enter storage information, detailed tow charge information, and any notes.
  2. Click OK. The Total Charges amount will be used as the Towing charge in the Other Charges table. It will overwrite any existing tow charge in the Other Charges table.
